01 — THE CHALLENGE

A strong local brand with an underperforming online presence

This established luxury goods retailer already had a website, a loyal local customer base and a strong social media presence. However, its digital presence was not translating into meaningful website traffic or online sales.

While the website successfully encouraged local customers to visit the physical shop, online transactions remained low. The existing ecommerce platform limited the business’s ability to improve the customer journey, understand buying behaviour and turn interest into sales.

Social activity was concentrated on Instagram, leaving other channels underused and the wider digital presence unable to turn interest into measurable online sales.

02 — OUR APPROACH

How We Built a Stronger Ecommerce Operation

We used Google Analytics to understand how visitors interacted with the existing website. This revealed weaknesses in the customer journey, including where potential buyers were losing interest or leaving without completing a purchase.

Following this review, we moved the retailer from its underperforming ecommerce platform to Shopify, rebuilt the customer journey and supported the move with a wider rebrand. We also gave each social channel a clearer commercial role: Facebook and Instagram for reaching customers and driving traffic, with YouTube and TikTok supporting discovery and longer-term audience growth.

03 — THE WORK

What We Changed

We aligned the platform, brand, customer journey, analytics and social activity around measurable ecommerce growth.

The new Shopify website created a simpler, more intuitive shopping experience with better mobile usability, a smoother path from product discovery to checkout and more reliable ecommerce functionality.

Brand, analytics and social activity were aligned around clearer performance tracking, focused channel roles and a consistent luxury identity across every customer touchpoint.

Building a Digital Sales Engine

Improving the website was only one part of the solution. The retailer needed a connected system for understanding behaviour, reducing friction and turning digital attention into transactions.

The Wider Impact

The transformation improved more than online sales. Stronger digital visibility introduced the brand to customers throughout the UK, with people now travelling from across the country to visit the physical shop.

By combining the convenience of ecommerce with the premium experience and personal service of the store, the retailer created a stronger connection between its online and offline customer journeys—and a scalable foundation for sustainable growth.
